RTX in East Hartford is seeking a skilled machinist to manufacture complex hardware and prototype components. You will work with CNC mills and lathes, perform CAD/CAM programming, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop processes for testing and evaluation.

The role emphasizes precision, adherence to GD&T, and working with advanced machining methods in a fast-paced R&D setting. Onsite work with comprehensive benefits is provided.

Qualificações

• AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
• CNC mill and lathe setup and operation
• Conventional machining experience
• Reading engineering drawings and interpreting GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
• Demonstrated experience with CAD/CAM software and conversational CNC programming

Responsabilidades

• Manufacture complex hardware, components, and systems.
• Participate in project meetings and support manufacturing process development.
• Design and implement workholding and fixturing solutions and perform machine setups.
• Inspect completed hardware to ensure design and quality compliance.
• Prioritize multiple assignments to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives in a fast-paced R&D environment.
