Job summary

SAAB, a global defense and aerospace innovator, seeks a Senior Tooling Engineer to design, optimize, and sustain tooling for machining, composite fabrication, assembly, and test. You will develop 3D models and drawings, perform tolerance and structural analyses, and lead root-cause investigations and continuous improvement to enhance reliability, throughput, and ergonomics.

Qualifications

Experience designing tooling for machining, composite fabrication, assembly, and test.
Experience in regulated, safety-critical aerospace environments.
Ability to mentor junior engineers.
Strong knowledge of 3D modeling and drawings.
Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, optimization, and lifecycle support of tooling for defense and aerospace systems.
Develop 3D models and drawings, and perform tolerance and structural analyses.
Drive root-cause investigations and continuous improvement to increase reliability and throughput.
Collaborate with design engineering, operations, quality, and suppliers in a regulated environment.
Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and Saab processes.
