Job summary

International Automotive Components seeks an experienced engineer to lead tool design and injection mold builds for new automotive programs. You will coordinate with OEM design teams to ensure manufacturability and robust processes from the outset.

The role requires managing tool design, budgets, and supplier meetings, with a focus on PPAP readiness and cycle-time optimization across plant locations. Travel is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with past program / interior trim component launches.
• Excellent time management and project management skills.
• Proficient written and oral communication; strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide product and manufacturing design support to the OEM and IAC design teams to ensure manufacturability from injection mold perspectives.
• Manage all activities related to tool design, construction, budget, and timing of injection mold builds for new program launches.
• Provide tooling leadership to project teams to support customer needs.
• Manage injection mold build activities with suppliers to meet program timing, cost, and quality objectives.
• Champion preproduction mold samples and PPAP processes to ensure prompt quoted cycle times and OEE targets.
• Assist in optimizing manufacturing efficiency and quality through improved processes and facilities.
