Job summary

Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.## **This role in summary**To be successful in this role you will work with our design engineers and various toolshops around the world to lock in a design that meets the needs of the design intent and also meet the needs of the manufacturing plant with regards to standards, expected uptime, etc. Some travel will be required.## **Your responsibilities will include*** Leading projects to specify/purchase new large stamping dies in support of major program launches* Leading changes to existing tools to support cost and quality initiatives* Communicating project updates to all levels of the organization* Leading toolshop to provide a design that Transforms print tolerances into a repeatable/robust stamping tool* Maintaining/updating/ submitting project documentation for each new tool. e.g. FMEA, NP stores load sheets, Purchased component listing etc## **Minimum requirements*** 3+ years in tooling space* Manufacturing background preferred* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field## **Preferred skills and experiences*** 5 years manufacturing experience* Background in leading the implementation of new large metal stamping dies* Experience using 3D software e.g. solid works, pro E etc## **Additional information****Whirlpool’s Ways of Working**Our goal is to provide an environment that helps you bring your best to Whirlpool every day.
