You will design fixtures, jigs, and assembly aids, translating shop-floor needs into robust solutions and documenting detailed tool drawings for manufacturing and supplier fabrication.

The role emphasizes hands-on manufacturing insight, ergonomic and repeatable tooling design, and collaboration with mechanics, manufacturing engineers, and the Tooling Lead.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years in tooling design and fabrication within aerospace or complex manufacturing.
• Strong hands-on fabrication background (machining, welding, sheet metal).
• Deep understanding of fixture design, tolerance stack-up and repeatability.

Responsibilities

• Design tooling, fixtures, jigs and assembly aids for structures and assemblies.
• Create detailed tool drawings to support manufacturing and supplier fabrication.
• Validate tooling performance in production and iterate as needed.
