Qualifications

• A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of tooling design experience.
• 10 years of experience using 3D modeling CAD software.
• Experience working with CAD assemblies.
• Good understanding of Engineering Drawings and GD&T.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft O365 suite.
• US citizenship is required for government/military programs.
• Aerospace MRO experience preferred.
• Lean manufacturing/Kaizen experience preferred.
• Composite materials experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new tools, tooling, gauging, and other tooling aids to support production operations.
• Create designs and drawings using CAD software.
• Analyze tooling performance and adjust designs to improve performance.
• Design tooling for CNC machining, turning, and additive manufacturing.
• Review manufacturing specifications to determine tooling requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to develop design solutions for production support.
• Provide technical support to operations and external vendors.
• Investigate and troubleshoot process issues.
• Provide guidance during tooling fabrication and continuous improvement.
