Job summary

SWEP, part of Dover Corporation, is seeking a Tool and Die Maker in Tulsa, OK. You will set up and operate machine tools, fabricate high‑precision dies, and troubleshoot tooling in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting.

You’ll read technical prints, measure parts with precision instruments, and work with CNC/manual machines to ensure conformance to drawings, while maintaining safety and quality standards across tooling processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker.
• Experience in ISO‑certified manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical prints and drawings.
• Strong knowledge of metal and other material properties.
• Self‑motivated with strong independent problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and improve tooling performance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathes, mills, grinders, saws, drill presses, and EDM machines.
• Machine, fit, and assemble precision tooling; verify conformance to drawings.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers and other gauges.
• Troubleshoot dies and recommend design improvements.
• Maintain tooling documentation and records.
• Assist in troubleshooting die issues to maintain quality and production.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to meet process needs.
• Adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment.
• Uphold Code of Ethics and Basic Beliefs.
