Job summary

Textron Fort Worth is seeking a Tool & Die Maker A to plan and perform bench and machine operations to build, alter or repair highly specialized dies, tools, gauges, fixtures or jigs with extreme tolerances.

You will diagnose tool issues with Tool Engineers and Designers, operate precision equipment, and apply knowledge of heat treatment effects on metals. Five years of related experience is required.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of related experience.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to devise new methods and plan work sequences.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform bench and machine operations to build, alter or repair dies, tools, gauges, fixtures or jigs with extremely close tolerances.
• Operate tool room precision equipment as required.
• Diagnose and remedy tool difficulties with Tool Engineers and Designers.
• Understand heat treatment effects on various metals.
• Develop new tools and lay out work sequences and methods.
