Job summary

Snap-on seeks a Tool & Die Maker for 2nd shift to analyze, disassemble, and rebuild worn equipment to meet manufacturing requirements.

You will plan, layout, and perform bench and machine operations to construct tooling to tight tolerances, set up tool room machinery, and fit and finish components to specifications. This role requires a Journeyman apprenticeship and strength to lift 60+ pounds.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman's Tool & Die Makers Accredited Apprenticeship or completion of related academic courses.
  • High school diploma or five years direct applicable experience.
  • Ability to use shop mathematics: read drawings and specifications, work with formulas.
  • Ability to lift over 60 pounds.

Overview

Tool & Die Maker - 2nd Shift $38.86-$39.61/hour The Tool and Die Maker is responsible for analyzing, disassembling, and completely rebuilding worn out or outdated equipment to meet manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, layout, and perform all bench and machine operations to construct, alter and repair intricately designed and constructed forming tooling to required tolerances
  • Set-up and operate tool room machinery/equipment.
  • Perform close and exact operations necessary to fit, assemble, adjust, align, and finish work to specifications.
Qualifications
  • A Journeyman's Tool & Die Makers Accredited Apprenticeship or the completion of academic courses in Industrial Math I & II, machine blueprint reading, Metal Technology I and basic Die Making Technology.
  • High school diploma or equivalent of five years direct applicable experience.
  • Ability to use shop mathematics: work with fairly complicated drawings, specifications, formulas in manufacturing or troubleshooting.
  • Ability to lift over 60 pounds.
