Job summary

Betis Group, Inc. seeks a Functional Analyst to optimize processes and improve quality for VDOT Tolling technical assets.

You will translate client requirements into technical specs, create diagrams, and propose solutions balancing cost and benefit while validating with stakeholders. Responsibilities include documenting requirements, developing process flows, maintaining the product backlog with epics and features, and facilitating thorough testing including UAT with business users.

Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of enterprise data management concepts and tools.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience delivering business and systems analysis artifacts.
• 5+ years of experience as an Agile Business Analyst with Scrum knowledge.
• Proven experience in organizing and maintaining Product and Sprint backlogs.
• Proficiency translating requirements into application requirements and user stories.
• Expertise in defining acceptance criteria and managing acceptance with development teams.
• Experience with large, multi-module enterprise systems.
• Proficiency with Office products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, Project Server).
• Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
• Excellent written and oral communication; BPM concepts and modelling.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project team members and stakeholders to understand processes and identify pain points.
• Conduct root cause analysis to uncover system gaps and propose solutions.
• Develop process flows, context diagrams, and data flow diagrams to document changes.
• Document requirements and user stories focusing on business and technical improvements.
• Decompose requirements into Epics and Features and map to design specs.
• Support the Product Owner in backlog maintenance, themes, and dependencies.
• Create conceptual prototypes to visualize proposed solutions for stakeholders.
• Propose cost-effective solutions and test feasibility for business and technical use.
• Define test objectives, plans and cases; execute tests and facilitate UAT with business.
