Job summary

First American is seeking a seasoned attorney for underwriting leadership in its Agency Division. This remote-friendly role requires close collaboration with agents and company personnel to underwrite title insurance and provide settlement guidance. Travel to local meetings near New Jersey is expected.

The candidate will leverage 8–10 years of title underwriting experience and strong real estate law knowledge to ensure compliant issuance of title insurance and related services.

Qualifications

• Law degree required and admission to practice in state of employment.
• Licensed to practice law in good standing.
• 8–10 years of title underwriting experience.
• Strong understanding of real estate title and settlement processes.
• Knowledge of federal and state real estate regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide underwriting support and authorization for title insurance.
