Job summary

Parry Labs, LLC is seeking an experienced software leader to own timing and synchronization software across distributed systems. You will design architectures, implement time-source fusion, and ensure robust clock discipline and holdover capabilities.

You will integrate GNSS receivers and hardware timestamping, optimize PTP/NTP performance, and mentor engineers on timing algorithms and concurrency. Strong DOD/defense timing experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 9+ years of software engineering experience with leadership.
• Strong PNT expertise including clock stability and holdover.
• Proficiency in C or C++ with timing software experience.
• Experience with PTP, NTP, GNSS timing or hardware timestamping.
• Experience designing software interfaces and validating with automated tests.

Responsibilities

• Define timing software architecture, interfaces, error budgets and acceptance criteria with systems engineers.
• Implement and validate time-source fusion, clock discipline and holdover in software.
• Develop synchronization services for clock drift, reference loss and source conflicts.
• Integrate GNSS receivers, oscillators and hardware timestamping into software interfaces.
• Measure and improve PTP and NTP performance under latency and loss.
• Lead design and code reviews and mentor engineers on timing algorithms.
