Job summary

WET Design is seeking a Senior Soldering Technician to build LED lighting hardware for iconic water features. You will perform through-hole PCB assembly, precision soldering, and electrical/mechanical integration with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

The role involves reading schematics, assembling light heads and power supplies, and collaborating with production and engineering to meet build goals. On-site in Burbank, with opportunities to contribute to high-visibility projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of hands-on electrical or electronics assembly experience with emphasis on soldering.
• Ability to read and follow drawings, schematics, assembly procedures, and test instructions.
• Careful workmanship and strong attention to detail; ability to handle delicate components.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision through-hole soldering on PCBs, including component prep, placement, soldering, and cleaning.
• Inspect workmanship for correct solder joints and component placement; address defects per procedures.
• Assemble LED light heads, cable assemblies, connectors, and power supplies.
• Prepare, dress, route, terminate, and repair cables per drawings and work instructions.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Use small tools, torque wrenches, ohmmeters, and programming equipment as needed.
• Document results; communicate any assembly or test issues to team.
