Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity spanning AppSec, threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• 3–5+ years leading multi-disciplinary security teams.
• Demonstrated success reducing attack surface and improving detection speed.
• Strong understanding of application security, threat detection & response, penetration testing & adversary simulation, and CI/CD in cloud-native environments.
• Comfortable presenting to and influencing executives.
• Large-bank experience preferred, with adaptability to smaller-bank environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-discipline security team (6–12 direct reports) focused on detection, vulnerability management, and security automation.
• Escalation point for high-risk cyber issues and incident response coordination.
• Oversee application security programs: SAST, DAST, SCA, manual testing, and penetration testing; drive shift-left in CI/CD pipelines.
• Partner with SOC, IR, and engineering to strengthen detection capabilities and response.
• Ensure offensive activities (red/purple team) inform defenses and risk prioritization.
• Oversee vulnerability management, hardening standards, baselines, and remediation tracking.
