Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Principal Threat Researcher within Unit 42 NATSEC. You will own high‑level threat research on nation‑state and cybercrime trends, design and drive research initiatives, and mentor junior analysts.

You’ll deliver rapid analysis during major cyber events, translate complex findings for national security stakeholders, and collaborate with product, consulting, and sales teams. This role is remote with hybrid collaboration across geographies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of threat intelligence experience focusing on ransomware, nation-state, cybercrime, and supply-chain risks.
• Deep understanding of attacker lifecycle, TTPs, and high-fidelity indicators of compromise.
• Experience with data analysis tools including passive DNS and network/host data analysis.
• Scripting languages to facilitate data collection and analysis.
