Job summary

Palo Alto Networks, Inc. is seeking a Principal Threat Researcher within the NATSEC team to own high-level threat intelligence on nation-state and cybercrime trends. You will track global adversaries, resolve RFIs, and deliver actionable findings to protect national security missions.

You will mentor junior analysts, develop tools, and provide rapid analysis during high-visibility cyber events, while collaborating across research, engineering, consulting, and sales to drive strategic impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in threat intelligence focusing on ransomware, nation-state, cybercrime, and supply-chain risks.
• Expert understanding of attack lifecycle, TTPs, and high-fidelity IOC.

Responsibilities

• Collect, correlate, and analyze threat data from global datasets into a cohesive intelligence story.
• Lead threat research initiatives by designing, developing, and maintaining tools and workflows.
• Translate complex technical findings into clear assessments for national security stakeholders.
• Perform pivot analysis across datasets to map C2 infrastructure and identify TTPs.
• Deliver rapid threat analysis during major cyber events and urgent RFIs.
• Collaborate with internal research teams, product engineering, consulting, and sales to align strategy.
