Valon is hiring a Senior Security Engineer, Threat & Offensive Security to strengthen our AI-native platform for regulated finance. You will lead offensive testing, threat intelligence, and incident response while scaling security across our architecture.

The role emphasizes AI-driven security automation, collaboration with Engineering, IT, and Product, and working with external pentesting partners to safeguard billions in mortgage-related data.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in security engineering, penetration testing, threat intelligence, or similar roles.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; security certifications highly regarded.
• Experience with security testing tools and incident response.
• Knowledge of cloud environments (GCP, AWS) and monitoring platforms.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security testing and penetration testing across apps, infra, and networks.
• Operate security testing tools and frameworks to simulate attacks.
• Design AI-enabled workflows to scale security testing and threat ops.
• Lead threat intelligence efforts to anticipate threats and adjust defenses.
• Collaborate with external pentesters for independent reviews.
• Review new systems and third-party integrations for risk-based recommendations.
• Work with Engineering, IT, Product to remediate vulnerabilities.
• Develop playbooks and incident response procedures.
• Monitor security alerts and incidents; respond to events.
• Support security reviews, vendor security, audits, and awareness programs.
