Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of cybersecurity, security operations, incident response, threat analysis, vulnerability management, penetration testing, system administration, networking, or related security experience.
• Strong ability to independently lead complex investigations and technical response activities.
• Advanced knowledge of security monitoring, incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, threat hunting, and attacker techniques.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, web protocols, authentication, operating systems, cloud environments, and enterprise security technologies.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, and related security technologies.
• Ability to develop complex security queries, detections, and automation using languages such as SQL, Python, PowerShell, or API integrations.
• Experience supporting cybersecurity audits, regulatory examinations, or formal control assessments.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the senior technical escalation point for complex cybersecurity events and leads investigation, scoping, evidence analysis, containment, and post‑incident review.
• Performs advanced threat intelligence analysis, correlating intelligence sources, campaigns, vulnerabilities, attacker behaviors, and environmental exposure.
• Develops actionable intelligence to support detection, incident response, threat hunting, vulnerability prioritization, and management decision making.
• Defines and leads proactive threat hunting activities and establishes detection priorities.
• Develops, tests, tunes, validates, and reviews security‑monitoring rules and use cases while reducing false positives.
• Mentors Analyst I and II personnel and leads significant operational initiatives with cross‑team collaboration.
