Job summary

The Bancorp is seeking a Cybersecurity Senior Threat Analyst in a hybrid role based in Wilmington, DE. You will act as a senior technical authority within Cybersecurity Technical Operations, leading investigations, threat intelligence, and vulnerability analyses to support detection, response, and risk mitigation.

You will mentor junior analysts, develop detection content, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve controls and defense-in-depth across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of cybersecurity, security operations, incident response, threat analysis, vulnerability management, or related security experience.
• Demonstrated experience independently leading complex cybersecurity investigations or technical response activities.
• Advanced knowledge of security monitoring, incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, threat hunting, and attacker techniques.
• Strong understanding of networking, cloud environments, and enterprise security technologies.
• Experience with SQL, Python, PowerShell, APIs, or similar scripting for security automation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior escalation point for complex cybersecurity events and lead investigations, containment, and recovery.
• Conduct advanced threat intelligence analysis and correlate sources, campaigns, and attacker behavior.
• Develop actionable intelligence to support detection, incident response, threat hunting, and decision-making.
• Define proactive threat-hunting activities and detection priorities.
• Develop and review security queries, detections, and automation while reducing false positives.
• Lead complex vulnerability analysis and remediation efforts.
• Perform or lead penetration tests, security assessments, and testing activities with minimal oversight.
• Provide senior technical support for audits, regulatory examinations, and control assessments.
