McKesson is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Threat Detection & Response Analyst to support detection engineering, SIEM/EDR/SOAR, and incident response. You will onboard logs, tune rules, assist with playbooks, and coordinate with SOC/IR for timely remediation.

Required: 4+ years in cybersecurity, experience with SIEM/EDR/XDR, cloud logs, and runbooks. Based in Richmond, VA with a competitive base pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with SIEM/EDR/XDR and alert tuning.
• Ability to follow runbooks and document changes.
• Strong collaboration across SOC and IT teams.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK fundamentals and threat concepts.

Responsabilités

• Implement and maintain log/telemetry collection for security monitoring across endpoints, networks, cloud and identities.
• Support SIEM and detection platforms by onboarding data sources and validating parsing/normalization.
• Create and tune detection rules and alerts to improve fidelity and reduce noise.
• Contribute to incident response by collecting logs, containment tasks, and coordinating fixes.
• Develop playbooks (SOAR) and test changes with SOC/IR teams.
• Develop test plans for detections and response workflows; identify gaps and improvements.
