Job summary

Macquarie Bank Limited is seeking a Cyber Threat Detection Engineer to design and evolve detection capabilities across a global cyber environment. You will blend security analysis with software development to automate threat detection and respond to incidents at scale.

You will bring 3–5 years of cybersecurity experience, deep knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, SIEM platforms, and cloud security tools. Hybrid work models and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of cybersecurity experience in detection engineering, security operations, or incident response.
• Strong threat detection and hunting expertise with TTPs, MITRE ATT&CK and exploit trends.
• Extensive hands-on experience with SIEM and security analytics platforms and threat hunting in large enterprises.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and implement effective detection mechanisms and content to identify advanced cyber threats.
• Triage, investigate, and respond to threats across a global enterprise environment.
• Automate and scale the threat detection lifecycle using Detection-as-Code and CI/CD practices.
