Job summary

Western Alliance Bank, a subsidiary of Western Alliance Bancorporation, seeks a Third-Party Risk Manager in Phoenix, AZ. You will partner with business lines and third parties to ensure adherence to the TPRC program across the full lifecycle, including planning, due diligence, contracting, monitoring, and termination.

You’ll lead TPM activities, guide teams, and drive improvements while navigating regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related experience in Vendor Management or similar field.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
• Advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Advanced experience managing multiple concurrent projects and delivering assignments to completion in accordance with defined instructions, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
• Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business lines and third parties to adhere to the Third-Party Risk & Controls (TPRC) program.
• Manage a portfolio of third-party engagements across the lifecycle (planning, due diligence, contracting, monitoring, termination).
• Lead TPM activities across portfolios and guide team members within TPRC.
• Identify opportunities for program improvements and escalate as needed.
• Conduct inherent risk questionnaire workshops with engagement owners to determine risk ratings.
