Job summary

Baxters North America seeks a Senior Thermal Processing Manager in Cincinnati to serve as the primary Thermal Process Authority for low-acid and acidified foods, overseeing retort, aseptic, hot-fill, cook-chill, and other validated heat-treat technologies to ensure safe, compliant, efficient, and scientifically validated operations.

You will coach and develop the Thermal Process Team, participate in capital projects, validate changes affecting heat transfer, and drive continuous improvement in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with BPCS certification and thermal process coursework
• 7+ years in food manufacturing, with management experience
• Expertise in heat-transfer modeling, validation studies, and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Thermal Process Authority (TPA) for Baxters North America
• Oversee development, validation, and documentation of thermal processes including retort and aseptic.
• Manage direct reports in the thermal process department.
• Ensure all thermal processes are safe, compliant, and optimized for product quality.
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement in cycle time and energy use.
