Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Thermal Analysis Engineer Systems Modeling & Simulation at Level 4 to join the Launch Vehicles team. You will perform thermal analyses on avionics, structures, and TPS, and develop models of heat transfer for ground and space environments.

The role requires a strong STEM background, 8+ years (or advanced degrees) and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8+ years of related engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain a US Government Secret security clearance.
• Strong thermal background with demonstrated work experience in launch vehicle or missile programs.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Under minimal direction, perform a variety of thermal engineering tasks of an analysis, design, or test nature.
• Apply theoretical knowledge and engineering techniques to problems and analyses.
• Produce engineering documentation and technical reports to support design, integration, and testing.
• Learn and develop proficiency with Thermal Desktop, ATAC, StarCCM+, FIAT, and MATLAB.
