Job summary

EnduroSat is seeking a Senior Thermal Engineer to lead thermal engineering activities across spacecraft design, manufacturing, testing, launch and operations. You will design and qualify thermal systems for EnduroSat platforms and customer missions, participating in the full spacecraft lifecycle from concept to flight.

The role is based on-site in Denver with collaboration across EnduroSat offices in Sofia, Berlin and Toulouse, and occasional international travel.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in aerospace engineering or mechanical/thermal engineering (or equivalent).
• Excellent technical background in satellite Thermal engineering.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Define thermal architecture (radiators blankets heaters etc.).
• Build thermal models.
• Compute thermal predictions for flight (hot case, cold case) and TVAC tests.
• Correlate models with test results and identify test success criteria.
• Compute thermal power consumption.
• Investigation and closure of all issues related to thermal behavior.

What is the role?

As a Senior Thermal Engineer, you will be responsible for the thermal engineering activities related to spacecraft design, manufacturing, testing, launch, and operations. Your activity may include the design, development, and qualification of EnduroSat generic satellite platforms, and/or satellites for specific customers. You will be part of EnduroSat’s system engineering team and you will participate in the full spacecraft lifecycle, from initial design to AIT, launch, and flight operations. You also may be required to participate in technical meetings with customers, under the leadership of the system engineer. This role is based in Denver, Colorado, where we are building a high-performing and fast-paced team. The position will be primarily on-site and in person at the office.

Some of your daily tasks will include:

• 5+ years experience in Space programs engineering

Salary range: $110,000 - $160,000 per year. The salary will likely be within this range although it may differ based on experience level or otherfactors.
