Job summary

KYSOR WARREN – EPTA is seeking a Thermal Engineer to lead the thermal design of a commercial refrigerator, blending hands-on testing with 1D/2D modeling and robust CFD analysis to deliver reliable cooling solutions.

You will work with vendors and suppliers, optimize designs using DFMA and DFA, perform DFMEA root cause analysis, design heat exchangers and piping, and generate reports and internal standards as part of Epta's global refrigeration platform.

Qualifications

• Thermal/Mechanical Engineering degree with 7+ years of experience (bachelor's) or 5+ years (master's).
• Competency with thermal/fluid flow design and analysis.
• Knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
• Hands-on engineering and thermal testing in conjunction with test engineers in lab.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development and thermal design activities relevant to design of a commercial refrigerator.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with vendors and suppliers.
• Optimize design using DFMA and DFA principles.
• Engineering design using hand calculations and 1D/2D thermal modeling.
• Troubleshooting using DFMEA and root cause analysis.
• Design of heat exchangers and refrigerant piping in a refrigerator.
• Air flow optimization and fan selection.
• Generating and presenting reports for design approval.
• Drafting and publishing internal engineering standards and procedures.
