Job summary

Dell Technologies is seeking a Thermal Senior Engineer in Round Rock, TX, to lead development of innovative thermal solutions for server and storage products. You’ll work with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to ensure reliability and performance, building new processes and tools across a global engineering organization.

The role requires deep heat transfer knowledge, experience with air and liquid cooling, and scripting skills in Bash or Python.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering with focus on thermal design.
• Strong understanding of heat transfer principles.
• Experience with thermal management of CPUs, GPUs, NICs, and other hardware.

Responsibilities

• Utilize complex requirements from customers and vendors to create custom cooling solutions.
• Collaborate with adjacent thermal engineering teams to incorporate new commodities and custom thermal controls into larger Dell portfolio.
• Develop thermal validation tools, processes, automation, and infrastructure for a global team of system engineers.
• Create software and simulation tools to assess thermal feasibility of non-roadmap commodities.
