Job summary

Radiant in El Segundo, CA, is seeking a Senior Thermal Modeling Engineer to design, develop, and implement high-fidelity CFD/FEA simulations for the Kaleidos microreactor.

You will own turbulent flow and heat transfer analyses, implement best practices, and build automated workflows to improve accuracy and efficiency. This role requires on-site work at our El Segundo HQ and a strong drive to solve complex thermal problems in a pioneering nuclear technology company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or similar field.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• 5+ years experience with STAR-CCM+ and Ansys Fluent.
• Proficiency with CAD software Siemens NX.
• Strong fundamentals in FEM and CFD methods.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute thermal CFD analyses for Kaleidos reactor systems.
• Model turbulent flow, heat transfer, and multi-physics interactions.
• Develop CFD best-practice guidelines.
• Build automated workflows to extend capabilities and accuracy.
• Collaborate across teams to enable reduced order analyses.
