Job summary

Lenovo is seeking a Thermal Architect for its Cloud Service Provider Group (CSP). The role focuses on developing thermal solutions for rack-mounted servers and storage products, leveraging Flowtherm and Creo tools.

You will model complex thermal systems, define specifications for suppliers, and collaborate with Lenovo teams and suppliers to optimize costs. The ideal candidate has 12+ years in thermal design, experience with server/storage components, and strong customer engagement skills to

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
12+ years’ Thermal design experience.
Experience with Server/Storage Systems and their components.
Experience with Flowtherm is required and the use of thermal design tools including PTC Creo, Pro/E, etc.

Responsibilities

Understand current and future thermal design technologies and trends.
Model the thermal solution of new concepts and designs in Flowtherm for server, GPU and storage platforms.
Develop thermal specifications for suppliers.
Work with suppliers and Lenovo development team on the execution/development of thermal designs.
Interlock with Lenovo Global Supply chain to optimize design cost.
Provide on-going advice consult with Lenovo development team on technical issue resolution.
Direct customer engagement, proficient at presenting, good at connecting with customer and understanding what they want.
