Job summary

Qualifications

• MS or higher in engineering or applied physics (focus on heat transfer and fluid dynamics)
• 7+ years of experience in a thermal/thermo-physics analysis role
• Thermal FEA experience with STAR-CCM+, ANSYS, Icepak or Flotherm

Responsibilities

• Execute hand calculations, spreadsheets, and first-order MATLAB/Python models.
• Develop CFD models and simulations to predict temperatures and heat transfer.
• Generate and correlate integrated FEMs for imaging platforms and hardware.
• Perform test-model correlation to validate analytical predictions.
• Collaborate with environmental test engineers for instrument selection and testing.
• Prepare technical reports and stay current with thermal analysis advancements
