Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Software Installer to support the FAA TFDM program. You will remotely deploy, configure, and validate TFDM software at FAA facilities nationwide, traveling 75–100% as required and coordinating with engineers and operators to ensure operational readiness.

The role demands strong Linux, VMware, networking, and scripting skills, plus the ability to manage site logistics and documentation with FAA stakeholders.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelors degree with 8 years’ experience or Master’s with 6 years’ experience, associates with 10 years or HS diploma with 12 years’ experience.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux tasks such as OS installation, navigation, shell scripting, and Ansible playbooks.
• VMware navigation and troubleshooting, TCP/IP networking and cable creation.
• Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 75–100% between FAA facilities.

Responsibilities

• Configure, test, and prepare TFDM software installations at sites and labs.
• Create AIMS tickets for discrepancies and site adaptations.
• Generate status reports on On-Site and Lab installations.
• Collaborate with site personnel and vendors to resolve TFDM install issues.
