Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Software Installer – Mid-Level to support the FAA's TFDM program under the BNATCS contract. The role focuses on updating software installations at FAA terminal facilities and enabling NAS modernization.

This 100% remote role requires geographically distributed travel (75–100%) to FAA sites, working with engineers, controllers, and operations staff to ensure TFDM deployments are configured, tested, and ready for operation.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Bachelor's degree with 5 years' relevant experience, or Master's with 3 years', or equivalent combination.
Knowledge of Red Hat Linux including OS installation, file navigation, shell scripting (VI, GREP, SED, AWK), and Ansible Playbooks.
VMware knowledge including navigation and troubleshooting.
TCP/IP networking knowledge including network troubleshooting and cable creation.
Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
Valid driver's license and ability to operate a cargo van; travel up to 75–100%.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and climb air traffic control tower stairs.

Responsibilities

Create, refine, and execute TFDM software installation procedures at Sites and in Lab environments.
Create AIMS tickets to report discrepancies with TFDM and request site/lab adaptations.
Create status reports of On-Site / Lab installations.
Work with teammates, site personnel, and vendors to resolve TFDM software installation and operational issues.
