Job summary

Milliken & Company, a global manufacturing leader, seeks a Warper to operate warping equipment, ensure yarn tension and quality, and perform safe machine operation on a rotating day/night shift. You will monitor processes, keep records, and support beam loading and material handling in a busy textile environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to read production instructions, safety documents, and quality specs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Ability to read production instructions, quality specifications, and safety documents.
• Experience in manufacturing or textile settings is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work a rotating shift of days and nights.

Responsibilities

• Operate warping machines to wind multiple yarn ends onto beams according to production specifications.
• Set up machines, creel yarn packages, thread ends, tie knots, verify yarn paths.
• Monitor tension, alignment and uniformity during warping process; adjust as needed.
• Inspect yarn and beams for defects and handle quality issues.
• Record production data, downtime and quality checks in plant systems.
• Maintain safe and clean work area; follow lockout/tagout procedures.
• Assist with beam loading/unloading and material handling as required.
• Participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities.
