Leidos Inc. is seeking a Technical Lead to guide AI-enabled initiatives for NIH/NCI programs in cancer research, precision medicine, and enterprise biomedical informatics.

You will shape technology strategy, govern architecture, and mentor cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure AI solutions that align with NIH policies and mission priorities. The role requires deep ML/AI expertise, cloud-native design, and strong customer engagement to translate complex concepts into actionable

Competenze

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 15+ years of technical leadership in Federal health, biomedical research, or scientific computing.
• 10+ years designing and leading enterprise AI/ML within healthcare, life sciences, or federal research environments.
• Experience advising executive government customers on AI strategy and enterprise architecture.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust / ADPII Clearance.

Mansioni

• Lead the technical strategy, architecture, and implementation of AI-enabled solutions for cancer research and precision medicine.
• Serve as principal technical advisor to NCI leadership on AI, ML, and biomedical informatics.
• Partner with government stakeholders and SMEs to define priorities and deliver innovative solutions.
• Oversee AI model development, deployment, and lifecycle management (ML, DL, NLP, LLMs, CV, analytics).
• Guide AI capabilities for biomedical imaging, genomics, radiomics, and clinical trial optimization.
• Design scalable cloud architectures leveraging HPC, AWS/Azure/Google Cloud, Kubernetes, and MLOps.
• Ensure Responsible AI – governance, explainability, bias mitigation, security, privacy, and NIH/NIST compliance.
• Lead architecture reviews, executive briefings, and technology roadmaps for government audiences.
• Mentor engineers, data scientists, cloud architects, and SMEs to ensure high-quality delivery.
