Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with helium mass spectrometry leak detection (vacuum and pressure/sniffer methods).
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with instrumentation and data acquisition systems, including configuration, calibration, and monitoring.
• Strong understanding of vacuum technology, gas flow, and leak rate fundamentals.
• Experience testing cryogenic and/or high‑pressure fluid systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Familiarity with leak test standards (e.g., ASTM E499, ASTM E498, ASME BPVC Section V).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

Aufgaben

• Perform and lead helium mass spectrometry leak detection on cryogenic and high‑pressure components, assemblies, and integrated systems.
• Develop, refine, and validate leak test procedures, acceptance criteria, and work instructions.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain helium mass spectrometer leak detectors and associated vacuum/pressurization equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot leak paths in welds, joints, seals, and fittings; recommend corrective actions.
• Interpret leak rate data and document results in compliance with engineering specifications and quality requirements.
• Provide technical mentorship and training to junior technicians and engineers.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve leak‑tightness of hardware.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols when handling cryogenics, testing high‑pressure gases, and vacuum systems.
• Support root cause investigations for leak‑related nonconformances.
