Job summary

HCLTech is seeking two Thermal QA Automation Engineers in California to join the Team: Thermal SQA. This onsite role requires working five days a week in Cupertino and San Diego, focusing on Define, implement, and execute tests for hardware/software in thermal environments and control systems on Apple products.

The role involves analyzing automation results, executing manual tests, isolating defects, and maintaining/improving automation frameworks while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in defining, implementing, and executing tests for hardware/software in thermal environments.
• Ability to analyze automation test results, identify failures, and quantify impact.
• Proficiency in executing manual tests and performing regression testing.
• Experience maintaining and enhancing automation frameworks and writing new test cases.

Job Summary

Team: Thermal SQA

Time zone requirement: Onsite 5 days/week (Cupertino and San Diego)

Role: Thermal QA Automation Engineer (2x)

Key Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and execute tests to validate Hardware/Software for Thermal


• Control Systems on Apple products.


• Analyze automation test results for failures, identifying issue trends, and quantifyingimpact.


• Execute Manual tests and analyze test results.


• Isolate and report defects effectively quantifying customer impact, and verify fixesthrough regression testing and other test methodologies.


• Maintain existing automation framework and develop new automated test cases.


• Work closely and collaborate with cross functional team members.

Other Requirements

Success Criteria/Definition of Done

• Learn quickly how to install thermocouples on devices,


• Able to kick off automated test scripts,


• Able to monitor tests that are running in the thermal chambers,


• If tests fail use documented debugging steps to troubleshoot, running manual tests and


• Keeping labs neat and clean


• Working experience on cellular call boxes like Keysight, CMW etc. - Nice to have


• Understanding of automation frameworks - Nice to have


• Understanding of data visualization tools (Tableau) - Nice to have

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
