Job summary

SAIC seeks a Senior Test and Evaluation System Engineer for Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. You will provide senior-level engineering support for Maneuver Ammunition Systems, advise on life-cycle evaluation, and act as a principal technical authority for system concepts and requirements architecture.

You will lead test planning, data assessment, and cross-functional collaboration with government and industry stakeholders to ensure robust ammunition development and delivery across multiple calibers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in an accredited engineering discipline.
• Five (5) years managing professional staff.
• Advanced knowledge of system-level requirements definition, system test and evaluation, probability, reliability, statistical analysis, sampling, data-collection methods, and applicable regulations and standards.
• Ability to author, edit, and contribute to technical products, reports, test plans, and analyses, with guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time analysis, oversight, and recommendations for ammunition development, production, sustainment, and delivery.
• Support acquisition strategies and evaluate issues affecting production and delivery; perform root-cause analyses and action follow-up.
• Apply engineering and scientific principles to develop concepts, roadmaps, monitor progress, design test protocols, and assess data.
• Review proposals, assess user concerns, and monitor Army-funded projects; identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Provide technical leadership for energetics, supply chains, and industrial-base resilience.
• Support Defense Production Act Title III efforts and public-private partnerships for ammunition capacity.
• Prepare executive briefings for program leadership and congressional stakeholders.
• Coordinate with PM MAS and other government and industry stakeholders on various matters.
• Review Foreign Military Sales LOAs for ammunition and assess implications.
• Apply legacy knowledge to resolve issues and support ECPs and Deviations.
• Mentor engineers and staff on ammunition development, production, sustainment, and technical analysis.
