Job summary

The Boeing Company Phantom Works in Las Vegas NV seeks a Senior Test & Evaluation Engineer to lead a test team, integrating and evaluating state-of-the-art technologies for customer-directed maturation. The role involves oversight of test planning, technique development, execution, data review and reporting across multi-discipline campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
• At least 1 year experience in executing tests in a control room environment as a flight test engineer (FTE), test conductor (TC), and/or test director (TD).
• At least 1 year experience supervising planning and execution of complex tests and demonstrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-discipline test team through all phases of test campaigns from planning to reporting.
• Obtain and maintain test conductor qualification and instructor and evaluator ratings.
• Maintain process surveillance to ensure compliance and adjudicate discrepancies.
• Ensure test procedures are safe and personnel comply with safety protocols.
• Oversee development of new test methods to evaluate emerging technologies.
• Review and approve detailed test plans, procedures, and test cards.
• Supervise preparation for technical / safety review boards and test readiness reviews.
• Review and approve test reports to ensure data delivered to customers.
• Advise for testability during design of test hardware, software, and systems.
• Represent test and evaluation interests in synthesis of system limitations and airworthiness assessments.
• Provide guidance on data-driven investigation of test anomalies.
• Train new test conductors and flight test engineers.
• This position is expected to be 100% on site.
