Job summary

Emerald Technologies is seeking a Test Engineering Manager in Saline, MI to lead all test engineering activities for PCBA manufacturing. The role covers ICT, Flying Probe, FCT, thermal cycling, shock, and vibration testing, with a focus on continuous improvement and customer-facing communication.

You will manage workload, develop schedules, and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet milestones. A strong background in electronics manufacturing and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Manufacturing Engineering or related.
• Minimum 10 years in electronics manufacturing, test engineering or related technical roles in PCBA.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership or management experience leading engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of SMT, through-hole and mixed-technology PCB assembly.
• Strong knowledge of electrical schematics and PCB functionality; ICT/Flying Probe/FCT expertise.

Responsibilities

• Establish priorities and manage department workload to align with business needs.
• Develop project schedules, milestones and deliverables for customer and internal projects.
• Support customer visits and technical discussions on test strategies and capabilities.
• Demonstrate strong customer-facing presentation and relationship management skills.
• Interpret schematics, PCB layouts, assembly drawings, BOMs and test specs.
• Drive accountability for project execution, technical excellence and continuous improvement.
