Job summary

Steampunk is seeking a Test Engineering Manager to lead a team delivering QA and test automation for applications, cloud, and data systems. You will guide testing parameters, strategy, and client collaboration in a fast-paced Agile/DevSecOps setting.

You will oversee test data, automation, and performance/security testing across environments, ensuring quality and risk management. Strong leadership and security focus required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience in software testing/quality assurance field.
• 10+ years progressive experience in test engineering including leading testing teams.
• Experience delivering enterprise software in client environments.
• Strong leadership and governance capabilities for QA and test automation.
• Experience with Git-based SCM like GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
• Proficient in one or more programming or scripting languages.
• 5+ years in DevSecOps and agile environments.
• Experience using Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical delivery leader for QA and test automation efforts.
• Lead a team and provide coaching and career development.
• Establish testing strategies, plans, and metrics.
• Develop automated testing scripts with parallelization and idempotency.
• Ensure secure testing practices and CI/CD integration.
• Collaborate with product/design to define testing parameters.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and client executives on quality objectives.
