Job summary

Garud Technology Services, Inc. seeks an experienced Test Engineer/Test Director to support a federal PMO responsible for planning, acquiring, and managing deployment and operation of technology and capabilities to secure borders.

The role includes developing and executing tests, reporting defects, and collaborating with engineering teams to meet milestones. Travel is required, and the candidate will provide test planning, validation, and performance testing across diverse environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical or computer science and 10+ years of testing experience.
• Experience supporting DHS/CBP/US Border Patrol a plus.
• Understanding of testing fundamentals, systems engineering, scheduling, and milestones reviews.
• Proficiency with Excel/Word/SharePoint and data input in spreadsheets/databases.
• Ability to produce professional documentation and briefings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute tests including test plans, procedures, test cases, and automated scripts.
• Identify and report defects using bug-tracking systems and document issues.
• Collaborate with project and system engineers to understand requirements.
• Analyze test results and report progress to management.
• Maintain testing environments and improve testing processes.
• Ensure compliance with industry and company standards.
• Automate repetitive tasks using scripts and testing tools.
• Manage testing within project timelines.
