Job summary

AscendArc is seeking a Test Engineer – Structures and Mechanisms to bridge vision and hardware for a revolutionary satellite communications system. You will design, build, and validate test fixtures and tooling while coordinating with engineers on environment and qualification tests.

The role leverages CAD proficiency (NX/SolidWorks), hands-on build-test cycles, and rapid prototyping in a hybrid Beaverton, OR setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• Experience designing and building test fixtures and tooling for aerospace or high-reliability systems.
• Hands-on testing and familiarity with environmental and structural testing (thermal, vibration, shock).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and integrate test fixtures, tooling, and support hardware to test spacecraft structures and mechanisms.
• Assist responsible engineers in design and concepting of tests including thermal, vibration, and deployment.
• Support test readiness reviews, drive testing schedules, and ensure safe test operations.
• Develop testing infrastructure and define resources to achieve milestones.
