Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Sr. Associate, Test Engineer at the Stennis Space Center in MS.

You will support the safe assembly and test of rocket engine components, including RS-25 tests, working with engineering, quality and safety teams to ensure mission success. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience (or equivalent) and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0–2 years of related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

Supports the assembly, test, and verification of rocket engine components.
Conducts leak checks, inspections, and other engine related tasks.
Creates and maintains check sheets for work performed by technicians.
Works with Quality, Engineering, and Safety organizations to achieve common goals.
Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
Recommends enhancements to systems and processes.
Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects.
Works under general supervision.
Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance.
