Associate Test Engineer - Instrumentation to oversee safe instrumentation and data recording during rocket engine testing and to troubleshoot anomalies in collaboration with related disciplines. You will install, calibrate, and troubleshoot sensors (pressure, temperature, flow, vibration), apply recording methods, and help meet program targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

• Supports installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of pressure, temperature, flow, vibration, and related measurements.
• Understands basic operation of various sensor types and recording methods.
• Works with Quality, Engineering, and Safety organizations to achieve common goals.
• Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
• Recommends enhancements to systems and processes.
• Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects.
• Works under general supervision.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Job Description

Responsible for safe and effective instrumentation and data recording during rocket engine testing, as well as troubleshooting and repair of anomalies. This position works in concert with related disciplines, contractors, and customers to ensure the successful testing of L3Harris products.
