Job summary

Coherent Corp. seeks a senior verification tester to review system requirements and design comprehensive test plans for optical transmission systems.

You will validate management interfaces via CLI and gRPC, perform end-to-end and L1/L0 testing, and develop Python automation scripts with Jenkins/GitLab pipelines. The role requires 5+ years in communications verification, experience with Netconf/YANG, SNMP, Linux embedded systems, and proficiency in Python.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in verification testing for communications systems.
• Experience in automated northbound interface testing: Netconf/YANG, CLI, SNMP.
• Experience in testing Linux based embedded systems.
• Experience in Python or other scripting languages for automation tests.
• Experience with TCP/IP, Ethernet, OTN networks.
• Familiarity with DWDM optical systems and 100G/400G/800G L1 optics.
• Familiarity with lab bench debugging tools such as oscilloscopes and optical spectrum analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Discuss and review system requirement documents with cross-functional teams.
• Design and develop test plans covering functional, performance, and boundary scenarios.
• Establish verification practices in line with existing teams’ tooling.
• Validate management interfaces via CLI and gRPC.
• Perform end-to-end testing of optical transmission systems and L1/L0 metrics.
• Develop Python automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines for regression testing.
