Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, in Oak Ridge, TN, seeks a Senior Test Engineer to support the Y-12 APMO Operations and Security activities. The role focuses on testing, commissioning readiness, and oversight of DOE/NRC regulated facilities, including mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems evaluation. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in engineering or nuclear operations, PE or SRO equivalent, and proven leadership.

Onsite work in Oak Ridge with strict security requirements and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering from ABET-accredited program with 4+ years of relevant experience (or PE with equivalent experience).
• Experience as a test/operations engineer at a DOE/NRC regulated facility is preferred.
• Strong drafting, editing, and written reporting skills with attention to QA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support Y-12 APMO operations and security oversight in testing and commissioning activities.
• Serve as SME for mechanical, piping/process, gloveboxes, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Assess contractor testing programs, provide technical guidance, and prepare high-quality written assessment reports.
