Job summary

Halogen Engineering Group in Annapolis Junction, MD seeks a Test Engineer with 5+ years of experience for Linux, scripting, and Splunk expertise. TS/SCI with poly clearance is required for the role, which involves onsite work and SAFe activities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include designing testing strategies, automating tests, analyzing data, and coordinating defect tracking in JIRA while ensuring system requirements are met for HPC platforms.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in programs/contracts of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree requirement with substitution option as stated.
• Proven ability to develop test cases from system requirements.
• Experience with Linux CLI, filesystems, permissions, and process management.

Responsibilities

• Independently test and validate HPC systems according to test plans.
• Design, develop, and implement testing strategies including automated test execution.
• Participate in SAFe activities—planning, daily stand-ups, demos, retrospectives.
• Collaborate to develop and execute test plans for HPC systems.
• Utilize Linux CLI and scripting (Python, Bash) to troubleshoot, run tests, and automate testing.
• Develop complex database queries and analyze test data across SQL and Splunk.
• Track, document, and report defects using JIRA or similar tools.
• Review HPC documentation and interpret requirements to guide testability.
