Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle, WA is seeking an experienced Test Engineer III to join the AI&T team on the Terawave program. You will own test campaigns end-to-end on the Vehicle Test Bench, Flatsat, and HIL environment, from procedure development through formal reporting, and act as a production transition lead.

The role requires leading test campaigns, mentoring junior staff, interfacing with subsystem engineers, and driving process improvements to reduce cycle time and improve first-pass yield.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant aerospace or electrical engineering field.
• 5+ years in hardware SIT or environmental/functional testing in aerospace/defense high-reliability.
• Experience leading end-to-end test campaigns, including procedure development and formal reporting.
• Ability to interpret telemetry and identify off-nominal conditions in real time.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own VTB and HIL verification procedures.
• Lead test campaign execution and manage test readiness gates.
• Capture, disposition, and track test anomalies; write formal test reports.
• Develop and maintain lab verification/validation procedures.
• Generate verification artifacts for cross-functional review.
• Mentor Test Engineer I and II and review procedures/test reports.
• Interface with subsystem engineers on test objectives and success criteria.
• Support and execute formal acceptance test campaigns.
• Identify and drive test process improvements to reduce cycle time and improve first-pass yield.
• Identify anomalies and lead closure activities.
