Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Test Operations Engineer II to join the AI&T team for the Terawave program. You will lead space-vehicle environmental testing, develop procedures, capture data, and support satellite qualification for high-rate production.

Responsibilities include executing TVAC, vibration, EMI/EMC tests, operating HIL benches, and writing formal test reports under senior guidance. This role requires aerospace/test experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of hardware test or environmental test experience in aerospace/defense or related field.
  • Experience with environmental test campaigns (TVAC, vibration, acoustic, shock, thermal).
  • Experience developing or executing formal test procedures in controlled docs.
  • Familiar with anomaly reporting and configuration management processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Execute space vehicle-level development tests and environmental campaigns per approved plans.
  • Support environmental test campaigns: TVAC, vibration, acoustic, shock, thermal cycling.
  • Execute EMI/EMC tests; monitor compliance data and test article health.
  • Operate the HIL bench during integration and functional tests; monitor telemetry.
  • Capture/reduce data and contribute to formal test reports and dispositions.
  • Develop test procedures under senior guidance and drive reviews/approvals.
  • Update procedures with red-line changes and maintain docs.
  • Support readiness gates: hardware inventories and test setup checklists.
  • Maintain bench orderliness, configuration accountability, and ESD/FOD compliance.
