Job summary

Frontgrade Technologies in Colorado Springs is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to develop hardware and software test solutions for validation, characterization, and production of mission-critical electronics.

You will lead test development for boards, modules, and systems, collaborate with design, software, and manufacturing teams, and contribute to safety and process improvements in a high-reliability environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field; 5+ years in test engineering with lab equipment.
• Alternative: 9 years experience may substitute for a BS; MS with 3 years experience may substitute.
• Experience in board-level test development and debugging (hardware and software).
• Experience with LabVIEW, C++, or Python in a dev environment.
• Strong electronics knowledge; ability to read schematics, assemblies, and BOMs.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Clearance (US citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Develop test solutions (hardware and software) for characterization and production tests of circuit cards, modules, and systems.
• Analyze datasheets and specs to identify test requirements.
• Coordinate with designers, software engineers, and manufacturing to develop test plans.
• Develop schematics and assembly drawings.
• Design, build, debug, and verify hardware for test fixtures, setups, cabling, and interfaces.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in test development and cross-functional problem solving.
• Participate in safety training and maintain a clean, safe workstation.
• Collaborate in team meetings and activities.
